Hey,I have a SS 3900 Plus that has duel finals in it.How many watts should these radios put out tuned wide open?I'm not gonan turn mine wide open or nothin...I'm just wonderin what it should put out. |

About 8w carrier and 30-35w peak. |

about 25 or 30 watts but i had one i set on 10 watts dead key it would swing past 30 watts |

okay...not challenging your answers but I have to admit it doesn't make sence to me.I've heard about people getting around 50 watts out a 3900. Seems like with duel finals you should get atleast 45 or so....like I said I'm not challenging your answers cuz I do appreciate them...I guess I was just expecting more from a duel final radio.Thanks again. |

Actually around 30 watts sounds right Ncrebel, my Grant XL only has a single final and does a swing of 15 watts... |

people that get 45-50 watts out of radios usually have radios with clipped limiters.witch only looks good on a wattmeter.the end result is overmodulation if the radio didnt need this limiter the factory wouldnt put it in there.30-35watts sounds good for that radio |
