Well, Forum Member's, I guess I am the new kid (tech) on the block. My handle is: (tech808)Lon A little about myself, USMC Vet 68-69-70 / VFW Life Member (Post 454 / 32 years) I have been involved in radio's since 1967. I am also a Licensed Ham Operator. My area's of expertise are (NONE) as I am alway's learning and will never profess to know everything about anything. However, I am somewhat knowledgeable in most area's of radio's and modification's along with tuning and alignment's. After 30 plus year's of Selling, Buying & Working on Radio's, & Accessories I have learned a few thing's that may be of help to the Forum Member's. I am, lucky enough to have the time and willingness to offer my help as a COPPER Forum Moderator. I look forward to doing Testing & Reviews of Various COPPER Products and letting you the Forum Member's know the results. I look forward to helping the COPPER Forum continue to grow. Should you have any question's, please feel free to e-mail me at: tech808@copperelectronics.com Happy DX'ing & 73's (tech808)Lon |

Welcome aboard. I am new to this forum too. I started to collect CB radios six weeks ago. I am an electronics process engineer, a Ham Radio Operator, and have a fair amount of electronics background. I read and understand receiver schematics well, RF stages, mixers, IF, and AF sections. Never modified a CB radio though. My first venture is to modify the I.F. passband of my RCA CO-Pilot by using a six pole crystal filter. I have 12 1977-2000 CB radios now, most are older types. |
