This has got to be the cleanest looking amp I've seen. Might not last too long on ebay though. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1366589475

Yea, I knew this wouldn't last not on Ebay....Ya know how that works is another ebay user reported the item wich then was took off the list. A while back I tried to sell a RCI-2950 it lasted untill about a day before bid closed and item was invalid...I contacted ebay and thought they did it and they said it was another user reporting it, Saying it was against FCC or something...........Sometimes you get lucky and get no reports.....C-ya... |

I got a 2950 off ebay, which has an output issue: see ask the tech/radios mobile/old style 2950 intermittent tx, if your curious. I think the key to selling gear like this is to list it under the ham catagory. |

If you say THIS RADIO IS UNMODIFIED then e-bay should not pull it if its under ham.... but how many do not say covers cb....? |

Yea Insider, I've seen them sell left and right.....I seen a couple of HR 2510's come and go as invalid items aswell....Just yesterday I was checking out a sweet Galaxy Saturn Turbo and today it is listed as a invalid item......But then again I've seen them sell......It's all about a gamble I guess.....73's |

There is no rhyme or reason in the way E-Bay kicks equipment off. They don't have a list of legal or illegal radios or equipment. It's the self appointed watchdogs that point our questionable listings. If nobody turns it in, it will go the distant, plain and simple. Why anyone would get their kicks, and waste their time, to meddle in other peoples business is a mystery to me. E-bay is a big business, made a lot of people wealthy, but their attitude is bad now, it's 'our way, or no way'. There are several forums set up just for people with complaints about E-Bay. I just read where they are buying PayPal, so they will have some control of sites other than theirs. With this said, it's still the place to sell stuff, i've had over 500 views on a piece of equipment in a 5 day auction, where else you gonna get that. scrapiron |

ebay and the FCC.... Per a recent news blurb in QST magazine the FCC stated that in the very near future they were going to start to monitor the sales of not type approved equipment sales on ebay with a particular attention to imported illegal equipment. I do not know if they have started but it is worth a word to the wise, caution at all times. DE |

Yes, they do have a list of "Banned Equipment". I listed several shady radios on Ebay and got a nice email with a list of equipment I could not sell some examples were Superstar, Galaxy 10 meter, Connex, and a few others. Wish I had saved it now. The super trick to selling stuff like that is run it on a 3 day auction, maybe it'll close before someone turns you in. Second, use buy it now, if you want a reasonable price for the radio the fist couple of people will jump on it. When you do get caught wait a day or two after you get the nice little automated "We're Sorry" email from Ebay and relist. As long as you don't get caught over and over again, Ebay won't do anything about it. Been there, done that, got an Ebay t-shirt
