I found this radio at a yardsale and was wondering are they any good as a classic old CB rig? I heard from a old timer operator that the old Johnsons were famous for having a built in speech compressor of sorts and they had very good modulation. The one i saw has a desk mike and a handmike and i was thinking of getting it just for the heck of it.

The old 250's sounded great on the air especially with the desk mic.
