Here is a little something something I found for yall 2970DX people. This trick will allow you to access frequencies 18.9650 MHz - 35.4050 MHz. It works on my 2970DX with the 24-32 MHz mod. I have not tested it on any other RCI DX model. Steps: [1] Press [PRG] [2] Press [SPLIT] [3] Select frequency offset [4] Press [ENT] [5] Press [SPLIT] to select a + or - offset [6] Press [MAN] [7] Select a cb channel 1 - 40 from which to offset from. [8] Key mic tx button [9] Press [MAN] [10] Press [SPLIT] until neither + or - appear. Using this method, you can access anything from: 26.9650 MHz - 8.0000 MHz = 18.9650 MHz to 27.4050 MHz + 8.0000 MHz = 35.4050 MHz But it is advised that you transmit within a couple MHz from what it is currently capable. |
