I have heard 2 different things when it comes to grounding amps. Is it best to go directly to the pos and neg of the battery?(this is about 12') or positive from the battery neg (shorter/ 2') to the frame. Does this have bearing on the voltage drop? I have a 200 amp alternator and 2 marine batts in back but because of the size of the amp my voltage drops from 14.52 to 13.60. Any ideas on keeping the voltage up? |

i have been told to go straight to battery with pos. and neg. because if go to the shortest rout not the battey can cause a ground loop and have power loss |

I have 1/0 cable going pos from the front batt to the back I assume 1/0 ground from front to back is in order but at 7.00 foot its not going to be pretty |

Tell me your specifics....vehicle, antenna, antenna location, radio, amp, how is everything wired and with what. BE SPECIFIC.

As long as it don't cause distortion,don't worry about it,it's les than 1 volt.I talk ssb and use a 40 amp power supply and a 1 farad cap and I lose 2 volts and still get 400 from boomer 400,add a 1 farad cap for every 1000 watts out but if I were you I'd get 3 or 4 of them |
