Raptor is the not so new surveilance system used by law enforcement agencies that scans and detects certain key words and phrases on internet communications, including your E mail. The program from what I have read and seen on TV is installed at the point of the ISP as a part of the ISPs software porgrams. It monitors all communications thru the the ISP. When the law enforcement people see certain phrases words comming from an individual they contact the ISP and the ISP gives them your file.
Per the television news that I have seen here and there there is a new version out that does not have to be installed at the ISP from what I can gather. True or not I do not know but better to be safe than sorry?????

You were probably just jerking their chain but with the state of mind of the FBI and the other agencies these days you might want to rethink that tactic. These days they just do not have any sense of humor. |

Ok, well good fro them. Since i use encription in all of my emails that are importand they wont bother de-cripting it. |
