This is for you folks with email worm problems... Protect Yourself from Email Worms This trick helps prevent some of the damage caused by common email worms. It won't prevent you from getting an infection. You'll need to use antivirus software for that. The trick is to put in a special email address in your contacts list. Let's see how you would do it in Outlook Express: Open Outlook Express. Click the Tools menu and then click Address Book. Click the New button to create a new contact. For the first name of the contact, use !000. For the email address, use something like DeWormed@nowhere. Save the new contact. When the worm tries to deliver itself to users in your contacts list, it will start with this bogus entry. The attempt will fail and that puts the worm to rest. |

Taz, I have that in my address book. They say it works. But unfortunaitly it was too late for me. I had one a couple months ago that went through everybody in my address book...Eddie |
