Anyone know where in line you're supposed to have your tvi filter at? I was thinking it would have to be last to your antenna. Example, radio, amp, meter then filter. Is this where???? Thanks!!!!! |

Yeah I love radio and talking about it! lol
I moniter ch17 mostly and the skip has been dead here lately. I just get the tunneling affect. But im mostly on 17, and 19 is my other channel. |

Hey Taz,
I heard some good skip coming in from the east coast last night for a little bit but we had a good storm rolling through the city last night(Lincoln, Nebraska) so maybe it brought some skip with it. Other than that, I haven't really heard much lately either, or any that I can understand(Mexico). Might get on the radio this weekend say like saturday or sunday afternoon and try and make a contact with you. That's if I get this antron 99 down and my penetrator back up. Been having some problems with the neighbor lately and I hear that antron's bleed a lot at times. Now that I've heard about it and personally been experiencing it, gotta say it's true. Make way for the good ol' penetrator 500. Hopefully I won't melt his house down!!!!! LOL!!! Talk to you later! |

You would not belive what those P500s are going for on Ebay!!!! I saw one sell for 175.00 and another sell for 110.00!!! WOW!! and i paid $15.00 for mine!!
BTW my setup is radio, amp, meter, filter, switchbox and antenna. |

I hear ya RCI, I can't believe those antenna's are going for that much either. I used to work with an engineer who was part designer on that antenna when he worked for HyGain back in the late 70 to early 80's. They're awesome antenna's to be honest with you. I've only been on the radio for about 6 years and have made some very good contacts out of the country. The way you have your radio hooked up, have you ever had any problems with bleedover?? |

I just might have to get another filter anyways. Was thinking about ordering one here before too long. Wonder if it would be that much of a difference with two instead of one though. Any suggestions?
Hey DX431, I usually monitor channels 19 & 30 on 11 meter in the early evenings until around 10:00pm or so at night. Haven't really been on too much since the neighbor's driving me insane with the bleedover. When do you usually monitor??? |

I havent had the radio on much since the skip went south.....but when I do have it on it's usually in the a.m. since I work evenings. I'm mainly on during the weekend, Sundays mostly. |

tell your neighbor to shove it. He is harrasing you and its his problem. It would be like if his power ent out and hes coming over telling you to fix it. Dont answer his calls, keep him off of your property and if he dosent stay off have him arrested for assult count 3. He is harrasing you, get a restraining order against him. |

Huh? Imagine a dozen base stations running about 400 - 1000 watts for about 3 hours at a time. Some with laser 500's moonraker 4's imax's a99's penetrators, stardusters. Im glad the laser 500 guy is on my side. |
