A while back I heard someone with what I can only describe as a "data burst" tone that transmitted when he keyed up - not at the end of the transmission like a roger beep. What it sounded like was the sound at the beginning of an LAPD police radio's transmission, which is used to identify the radio number to the comm center. Has anyone else heard something like this on the air? I am curious as to what a mod like this is called and where I might look to find one!
