Hi, Im not sure if I should bye a expensive crank up and keep my big stick base antenna or bye a cheap used like 70 ft tower I think a fried will part with maybe or I mean there alot cheaper and bye some beams and a rotor and I can be bauling no not mauling bauling. LOL Im having some trouble deciding because I have no clue my price range would be about 1000 for the ragular tower idea with all the other stuff the Rotor Etc. or buying just a used 51 ft tower for 1000 I can get im not sure what would be best im thinking of getting the ragular tower not a crank up any ideam for me Thanks, Cement Man Around the Swamp Lands |

crankups are nice but expensive.and kinda overkill for a big stick antenna. i would use a good normal tv tower like the 70 footer you mentioned(if its in good shape) it will hold about anything you want to put up if properly installed and guyed of coarse.and youd have extra money for the other station toys. |

I just use a modified standard tower with a homemade hinge system at the base so it can be lowered for service and painting . The tower is 50ft in height and is easily lowered and raised. |

$1000 for a used tower , Rohn 25G? You can get USED Rohn 25G at any tower company in your area for about $25-$30 a stick (10 Foot)and an Apex is about $80 , Yaesu Rotor $350 (top of the line) Rotor Plate (Rohn $65.00). Total job with concrete and a few guys for 60 foot tower is about $600 307 |

1000 dollars? hahahahah not around here maybe 300 max and thats for a nice one. (rohn style) When I say nice I mean 40-60 feet, rotator plate,hinge at the botton and most guys will help you take it down! |
