In your opinion which do you think is the better radio?A Uniden PC68-xl or a Cobra 25?I've had one PC68 and it was a good radio while it lasted then it lost it's transmit and recieve all of a sudden. Whats your thoughts on the Cobra 25?I've heard other problems with some of the newer Unidens and it's kinda got me wondering about their durability. |

I have had both brands of radios and none of them have given me any trouble. I even had a soundtracker radio that everybody says are junk but still, no trouble. It may come down to looks, I had a choice of a Cobra 29 classic or the Uniden PC78 XL and I chose the PC only because of the front mounted mic and also because of the bad reviews I have been hearing about the newer cobras. I also just purchased a 29 classic that was made in 1995 wich is before the soundtracker era and so far has proven itself. Kepp the "golden screwdriver" out of it and any radio should give you years of service...Eddie |

The Uniden gets the slight edge. 25's tend to get a little trebly or raspy compared to the 68. They both are great radios and I wouldn't turn down either, but of the two side by side I'd pick the 68. |

I think the unidens put out a few more watts. Thats what I have heard from the truckstop anyway but dont always beleive what you hear. I would take the 68 |
