Oh yes it can, and it will. Replacing the mrf-422's with bigger transisters it will do more. I have seen it done. |

For starters when you change to a transistor with different input and output specs the transformers and caps will be of different values for optimum performance. Secondly the power supplies are usually built to deal with the current draw of the device in the amp. Higher draw equals more and possibly too much strain on the supply .... = blown rectifiers and maybe more. |

Well fellers I ordered a 2517DX,a KLV550,and a wilson1000,mag mount today.My dad-in-laws closest neighbors are 200 yards away do you think the klv550 will be a problem,one guy has a tv ant.My pops swr is 1.4 with a superscanner.I got the 2517 for the add of better noise filtering and boy do I have a truck load of noise(all electrical)popping,crackling,magnetic hum and 60hertz noise it stinks!!!!!! |

it is ONLY radio...just a hobby a past time...it is supposed to be FUN --- if I aint having FUN I walk away and find something else to do that may turn INTO fun !!... is the TV antenna pointed TOWARD your house.... if so it has a GOOD chance of interfering in it |

Huh?Did I miss something?The tv antenna is parallel to his house.Cell phones are to unreliable,telephone is to expensive,but nesessary for private conversation wink,wink.Radio is the only way to go.Fun!!Man if this were just fun and relaxing with no challenge I'd just can the whole thing.
