Anybody going to the Dayton Hamvention in Ohio (May 17 - 19, 2002) I was thinking of taking a daytrip to check it out. Could probably get some good ideas on antenna, and radio mounts just from looking around. I know I'm still having trouble deciding where to mount my SS3900 in my Chevy S-10. The darn 5 speed take up a lot of room if you know what I mean, and there isn't a lot of room under the dash. A roof mount might work, but I like using my mirrors a lot when I'm driving. Oh well, enough about my problem. If anybody's interested here is the URL for the Hamvention. www.hamvention.org |

Well, I for one would be able to make it. Dayton's only about a 2 1/2, 3 hour drive for me. I could still get home that night. We could also set up a frequency in order to get together when we arrive. |

I'm still up for it. Let's pick a 11 meter AM Freq. / Channel to operate on. We can decide on a meeting place (parking lot, or other spot). We can even give ourselves temporary handles, such as (Copper 10, to Copper 11, and so forth), or we could come up with our own titles discussed in this forum. Let me know what you think, Denny1820 |
