here's a recording of my radio (stock HR2510, inverted L dipole antenna) being received in Lancaster, CA (about 1200 miles distance) on the Lancaster JavaRadio this weekend:

JYD- it might have been me. 707 SW Texas.
Steve- actually I did get a response or two. I did the radio check on 5 different frequencies with varied results. Unfortunately the conditions between here and Lancaster were mediocre at best, so the AM & FM tests were mostly unintelligible except for the roger beep.
BTW- The Band Today (as of 11:50a CST) is PROFOUNDLY Dead. Evidently the results of the CME and magnetic storm. It should pass. Maybe we get some killer conditions this evening. Check MUF and Propagation at http://www.dxring.net |
