10khz jump-you need a center off single pole double throw switch cut the track pin9 goes to left side of switch, pin16 center, pin18 to the other side. you will get 3a down, 7a up,11a down,15a up,19a down.there is another mod for mor channels, ill have to look for it.mine went from 26.175 to 28.045. with no channel kit |

see good reasonan ! jyd but i think youll find that is the best you can do without a expander board now somewhere i have a copy of the pll book burried under all thoes arrl ones... kidding hey the pl-02 chip is cool too i took cybernet hygain radios and could pull them all over 10 meters... but why bother anymore i just bought 5 rpsy-485's for 90 bucks each they go 28.0-29.7 in 1 khz steps am/fm/ssb im burning them in for 48 hours them will align them and have lots of neet toys to play with through the long hot florida summer.....sush dont tell anyone but if you clip one diode.... na i beter not say that bruce |

only problem with the jumper method is tooo many repeated channels. prefer using a kit as they run consecutivly with no skips or repeats except whats on the dial already. just like an export radio.why screw around with the cheap and dirty method when a professional looking job can be done? my own persoanl opinion of course..:-) |

mine went from 26.175 to 28.045 and did not repeat any channels or skip.mine was done by a professional tech.and it looked nice to.it just depends on what you know and how much you know. |

oh,i thought it had the 8719pll all i have seen in the 142cobra.pl-02 is a little diffrent you got to cut 3 tracks then ad 3k3 resisters to each cut then run the wires and switches.the 8719 is diffrent.am i right bruce? i read this in a book |

some radios are like cars how many 148 or 2's died a early death not many... it truley amases me that CB radios stand up as well as they do even the "bad" ones. |
