I have a Galaxy mobile 10 meter radio that I bought, well used, from a guy about 5 years ago. I am trying to find out how old it is, and how many years that this model was made. It has a black face on it, has FM and sideband, has 5 bands of channels:A B C D E. The name on the front says: GALAXY II. It has a sticker on the back with a serial number, but I can't make out all of the numbers. It is a great little radio. Recently had it tuned up by PegLeg in Cocoa FL.(Anybody know him?) Excellent work and prices. Any help is most appreciated. Thanks, Steve |

Hey Taz, I am probably not the Green Hornet you are thinking of. I have never been on this forum before. But, thanks so much for the nice welcome anyway. Yeh PegLeg has repaired and tuned 2 Galaxy radios for me in the past few months. He does a great job, very quick, and very reasonable. Now about my old Galaxy II. Anybody? Thanks, Steve |

GreenHornet, It's probably exactly what it says it is, the Galaxy II. Older Galaxy mobile radio. Steve Tech181 Tech181@copperelectronics.com |

Biged, No, not messing with ya. I live just outside of Mobile AL. Haven't been on the radio for about 3 years now. Haven't been on this forum, until just the other day. Tech181, I know that it is an older Galaxy. I was just wondering if anybody knew about what year it may be, or what years that particular model was made. Thanks Steve |

Hey Taz, That's OK. No, I have never tried the Voyage. Heard it's a good radio, though. I have this old Galaxy II, and a Galaxy DX55V, and an old Midland 40 channel. Hey, you're not in Mobile are you? There is a Taz, that I hear sometimes around here. Steve |
