What are the major differences between these radios. From the outside, they look the same. Any info is greatly appreciated since I already have a madison and a chance to pick up a dwight but don't want to end up having the EXACT same radio.

Thanks to all...

The Madison is a great radio for your "garden variety" CB base station.. They also can and will take the uppers and lowers and there is a good NPC/RC mod to get them to really talk. Ive had the older President version with the analog clock 858 pll, the later President analog clock version 8719 pll, the analog version Uniden label 8719 pll and the 1980s Uniden version digital clock 8719 pll. The analog clock Uniden version 8719 pll was the best one i had out of the bunch though..

The old President Dwight D. also used the 858 chip, and was easy to put channels in. Also got alot of audio and swing for an AM ONLY radio. I still have one and everything except the clock work's fine! Who talks on the clock anyway?

I have the Dosy Auto-scan hooked into the Madison now. Opens it up to 26.005-27.995.
