I wish I could give a direct thank you to all of you out there who helped me with info on modifying my 79-290, but there are so many of you I can't. Just FYI, the mod on the Midland took me about 10 minutes start to finish, and I have all 240ch's, plus the 10 meter band. This was the very first mod I have ever done, in fact it was the very first time I have ever even opened a CB up. It went very well mostly because of everything I have read here on the forum, and listening to horror stories of what NOT to do. So a big thanx to everybody here on the forum!!
