I've got a Maco Seventy-Five that's in mint condition. I've never found any amplifer that was quite as impressive as the Maco Seventy-Five for sheer AUDIO. It takes one 8950 Tube, that I thought used to be very expensive, but I'm starting to find some on the net that are reasonable.

I believe the input wattage for his amp to be around 4 watts and was driving it with my Eagle 2000 and shorted the tube which popped the 47uf capacitors undereneath the tube socket.

I'd really like to get this amp opertational again.

Anybody else out there running one?

Anybody got a schematic for it so I can repair?

Thanks a million!

I've got schematics for the Macos, I'll look that one up tomorrow and send it to you. I've had several of those one tubers and also the two tubers, they will make a meter swing. I doubt if it will take your eagle though. Thats an accident looking for a place to happen.

Yeah, the Eagle 2000 is what I shorted the tube with. From now on, I'll be using it with low-output radios like my Browning Mark III's and my Tram.
