What you need is an RF generator that can not only generate CB frequencies, but also the frequencies of any IF stages you may come across in the receivers. Most any 2-way service monitor will be able to generate what you need. I prefer older IFR service monitors, just because that is what I know after all these years of working in the industry. However, you can find Cushman, Motorola, Agilent, and other service monitors for excellent prices on the used market. Your radio 'Mythbuster' since 1998

TECH 237 I am looking for a signal generator or rf generator<cheap> only wanting to test on the outside antennas and feed a signal into the coax to see what antenna is what on the coax switches in the shack, do you think a rf generator is better? CEF795 |

For that, I'd look more at an antenna analyser, but an RF Sig Gen could do it too. An HF Analyser can be picked up for under $100 if you look around Tech237 N7AUS God made me an athiest, who are you to question his wisdom?
