Hi all, Just purchased a cobra 29 lx to replace my 29 ltd. Alot has been said about swr meters in the radio's not being very good. I hooked up my old RS SWR/Power meter to my radio and began to check my antennas. 18' coax behind the cab driver side stake pocket. I found on this radio it showed .2 higher than my external meter. I had two antennas to run flat (skip shooter 6'& Van Ordt quad wrap 5.5) I have a 4' & 5' wilson top load that did not like my set up (2.2-2.5 on channel 20) My 5' Firestik 1.1 on 20 1.2 on each end. My 29 ltd read about.2 lower than on the external meter. Just wanted to share my experience. Thanks for reading |
