I don't have much of a 2 meter antenna other then a repeater antenna for doing local work. Although I have talked to Buffalo NY on it during a good opening on FM. SSB might be good for a try. 73 George KI4NBE

Tropo Ducting, and unless you antenna happened to be inside the duct, you would never know it was there. I lucked out with one some years back 5W 2M FM Simplex Sydney Australia to Auckland New Zealand. Tech237 N7AUS God made me an athiest, who are you to question his wisdom?

One night I caught an opening that really shocked me. I was on simplex and heard two guys. Got in on the conversation and finally one of the guys said a street he was on. They were in Warner Robbins, GA and me in Vero Beach, FL made for a nice tag. Meteor scatter is great! 73 Pressman

I can talk to TENNESSEE, most mornings with my 7 element beam, with the amp on around 175 watts if the band is slightly up. That is on 52 simplex. I use to many years ago when I had a 13 element beam up<crashed>, get into HUNTSVILLE ALABAMA, and around JACKSONVILLE Florida 3 or 4 times a week, but that was on ssb into ALABAMA, and cw for FLORIDA, and that was with 75 watts..... It is fun though when it is up with the temperature inversions. REVPO/CEF795 73 REVPO/DOCTOR/CEF 795 Wavin a hand from the cornfields of INDIANA
