Semi-voluntary this time. Employer insisted on my going to a Graveyard Shift despite a letter from my Doctor (OK Shrink)telling him it would be detrimental to my Health issues. Employer simply stated "You work Graveyard or don't have a job". My response was "bye" Will be making an appointment to see a lawyer, as that contravened at least 2 State Laws and I suspect one or two Federal ones. hope it works out for you. I had a similar problem about 20 years ago and was moved to 2nd shift due to a person claimed they could not work 2nd shift due to health problems and after court I was able to go back to 1st and the person that had a health problem had to go to 2nd even thou it was a health problem from them and the doctor. the courts did not buy into it. hope the laws have changed in the past few years. |

Well, I've filled out the papers for B of LI and now all I can do is wait and see.. Here in Oregon, the law does state "reasonable accommodation must be made for a disability", and also includes both Bipolar and PTSD as disabilities. No. It'll be a while before I hear anything, and it may go to court too. Tech237 N7AUS God made me an athiest, who are you to question his wisdom?

If I forgot to say I started a new job on 8/25 - supporting QuickBooks accounting software. Can't keep a good man down for long -lol. My ex-employer is fighting that I got paid Unemployment while not working. He lost the first round and has appealed. I know BoLI hit him with a hefty fine, which will help my case once we hit court. Moral: me off and I bite. Tech237 N7AUS God made me an athiest, who are you to question his wisdom?

Tis good you're working! Best of regards. Some labor houses think they have rights to run over people. My wife went through something similar, she won. 73 Pressman
