Blowing off steam here,
Just reading a thread on FB from a group of "Hams' (Ham-fisted maybe), who are advising a newbie to mount his radio to the upper side of his dash using such things as velcro, double-sided tape and duct tape. I guess I should be grateful they didn't suggest bungee cords.
I did suggest they come here and read the articles on installing radios.
