Hi Everyone I have been into this hobby since 1974 when I pick up the microphone on my dad CB radio. Anyways I really wanted to try and get back into the hobby. Doe anyone know anything about the Workmans 39 inch base station antenna, Does it work pretty good ? Anyways I am fixing to buy a Cobra 2000 GTL Mint in the box. Never peaked. or anything done to ot. It still in a sealed box. Yes it in New condtion and was stored away in a warehouse. This will be my base station radio. along with a D104 Golden eagle microphone. Thanks |

Skw44, welcome to the copper forum. I don't get to get on here as much as I used to, but the website is just loaded with information from many years of posts. Good luck on the new venture. Keith in Atlanta CEF 150 |

Welcome Skw44 to the Copper Electronics Forum. You can find some very good info here. I would like to say a 39in antenna is not long enough to really work well on CB. Just think a 1/4 wave is 108in in the CB band. I would get a longer antenna to go with that Cobra. You will be more happier. Izzy CEF#502
