I think a little while ago I posted about applying for a training position at work and not even getting an interview because I was "too technically qualified". Well last month I applied for a technical operations position (at the place where our signals generate), and again I didn't get interviewed because I was "not sufficiently technically qualifed". Seems one minute I am "Over-qualified" and then under qualified. I guess 37 years of electronic/communication background, designing state-wide emergency service communications systems, running my own communication company, and being the co-ordinator for 400 Emergency Comms Specialists (volunteers) scatted over 1000 square miles was all a waste of time. Anyone have a supervisor position open, I'm thinking of lookiong elsewhere. Tech237 N7AUS God made me an athiest, who are you to question his wisdom?

Since you're way over qualified, I don't want to bring you in to my company for fear that you may end up becoming my boss!! Fear not, OM. The big companies cannot see, for they are blind. The trick is to sit tight and await the inevitable economy improvement. Assuming the voters know what's best for them. Your radio 'Mythbuster' since 1998

Simon, sit pat for now. When the economy swings around there will be more technical positions open, if you must look, Monster has had some listings for the Melbourne FL area, don't expect top wages though. There are several communication companies there. 73 Pressman/KC4ZWM

I'd steer clear of Melbourne. Economic growth isnt expected in Brevard county any time soon. |
