For any new members, or old ones that seem to have forgotten, you can not post clickable links to other websites that sell/repair or do anything that competes with Coppers. I have had to correct a ton of posts in the last few weeks so they did not contain clickable links. Please do not make a link clickable, otherwise it may be removed or not approved. Thank you. I thought we were not suppose to post links clickable or not. This below is quoted from the rules. "You may not post links or references to direct competitors of Copper Electronics." |

True, but links to info have been allowed. But if I was to delete all the posts with links, there would never be any posts on the forum. It is a fine line to keep the posts within the rules, and still allowing folks to post info that may be needed. Mike Moderator120 CEF#0120/HAM #222 KB1NYD CVC#0041

Tim: I am not pointing out any one person. Just reminding folks to be sure to follow the rules is all. We all need that reminder once in awhile. I have reread the rules more times then I can recall, no worries. Mike Moderator120 CEF#0120/HAM #222 KB1NYD CVC#0041

Ok, so it seems this topic has to be bumped to the top again. Please do NOT post clickable links to a website that sells what Coppers sells. That is about as plain as I can make it boys. Mike Moderator120 CEF#0120/HAM #222 KB1NYD CVC#0041

Mike, it seems that the switch in some peoples brains takes longer to turn on and tell them not to do something or their brain does not work at all. |

Harve stop telling everyone about my brain. All of us don't have a brain. Because when they were passing out brains. I though they said trains. Now you know why Sir Nogg has to post this again and again. Maybe I could win a brain on the Copper Voice Chat??? The Prize Hogg. Izzy CEF#502

Well now, looks like this topic needs to be brought up once again. Please read and follow the rules on the forum guys, it's not that hard and it's makes life much easier for the the good folks having to approve the posts. Do not put clickable links in a post, and for the new members, be sure to read all the rules! Thank you! Mike Moderator120 CEF#0120/HAM #222 KB1NYD CVC#0041

I guess I have one question here. I have been a member since 2001 and we could always post a link only if it was for radio mods or explaining how to align a radio etc. you could not post a link that any one sold equipment on. if this is so now I will not be able to type a complete service manual in here if someone wants to know if one is available. looks as if people will never get info they need to repair or mod a radio unless it can be typed in. |

We have never allowed clickable links on the forum. Somehow a few have gotten on as of late. But if you want to share a link it can not be a clickable link. So if you have a link to some radio info, just don't make it a clickable link is all. Same rules as always, nothing has changed on that front. Mike Moderator120 CEF#0120/HAM #222 KB1NYD CVC#0041

Sonoma, To my knowledge there is nothing stopping you from telling the person you have acopy and that you'd be willing to email/snail mail a pdf version, or even uploading it to say the Subscribers area of the Forum. Tech237 N7AUS God made me an athiest, who are you to question his wisdom?

I normally leave cb tricks link since they have most of the manuals for a lot of radios. if someone needs some thing else I will just email it to them as you suggested. not as many people here as it was back in the early 2000 time span. I just drop by here a couple times a day and some times it is weeks before some one needs items. when the superstar JA came out it was fairly active. so I left what I had for the radio. I know a couple wanted the directions on how to put a freq counter on it. I left a you tube video link for them since that is the easiest for them to follow. but will not do that again. I have a lot of manuals on skydrive that I have saved over the years so they will have to send a email address if they want something I have there. |

I do the same. As a tech, my filing cabinte is full of manuals, diagrams etc. Some I've even scanned in and burnt to CDs. Eventually they all will be. Tech237 N7AUS God made me an athiest, who are you to question his wisdom?
