Eh, New year? While the ball dropped in NYC I turned 59 yrs+1 day. Next door neighbor was running his chain saw, don't ask me ! He does strange things. All the greats and grands were asleep from the first round of fire works and my son called from New Mexico to wish us a happy. Simon was still waiting his turn and 858 was fast asleep, or having breakfast, which one? 73 Pressman/KC4ZWM

Hi Jim Tech 858, Happy New Year to you and all on CEF from New Zealand. Please pass on a big thank you to all for their considerations and thoughts of CEF0295 Murray and my own well being. The earthquake activity is centred in and around the largest South Island city of Christchurch, which is some 473 miles from CEF0295 and some 420miles from myself here in Hamilton on the North Island. As such nothing is felt this far away. But our country was known as 'Shakey Isles' from our early pioneers. I have checked in on CEF a number of times but not posted for quite a while. DX on the 12/11/10m bands has been awesome! I have posted one or two short clips on You Tube.Search under my home call of 41HN3800 and ZL1PO. In closing again thanks to all and may 2012 allow much DX to enter your coax. 73rds alround, John, CEF 195, 41HN3800, ZL1PO. |

Well hello Kiwikid ! Long time! Glad the quake missed you, shame your country would have to be known as Shakey Isles. Kinda like California here in the states huh? Caught the videos under ZL1PO of 4X4ing. What make of 4wheel do you have? Never seen them that I know of. We do 4 wheeling here in Florida in a lot of mud and sand, there are some hills mid state but none here on the coast. Hope you have many DX hook ups. Stay in touch !!!!!!!!!!!!! 73 Pressman/KC4ZWM

The 4x4 is a Niva by Lada.A very competant vehicle off road.1600cc.,5 speed stick shift, permanent 4x4,Hi-Low ratio centre locking differential. Some say Range Rover copied the idea.Have a good weekend folks. 73 John |
