Would any of the members use the Voice chat program if we had a designated time after the Sunday nets say around 3PM CDT as well as the usual Saturday night slot ? We really need to use it before we lose it folks . Please post your opinions .

It's really good to use it during the nets, it will show who is on and let others know that there is CEF members waiting on the nets to make contacts with other CEF's.
Then after the net we can chat about those contacts etc.
We just need to focus more on getting the nets back up and running. This is a forum about radio not really about a chat room. Although the chat is OK but I left it because I didn't won't it to replace my radio. Voice chat is no challenge.
I would only now use voice chat to say hey that was a good contact or to say nothing hear and thanks for trying. I would rather have a on air round table then the voice chat. sorry JMO |

I would,if I can remember to fire it up wjhen I get home from work. hate working weekends. Which brings up a question - teamspeak2 is no longer available under Linux, does anyone know if teamspeak3 will work?

There are a few of us who would like nothing better than to get the nets up and running again but without the support of all the CEF members out there it just isn't gonna work as it should also you are correct the forum is about radio and the voice chat can be used along with the nets that is what
Lon ( Tech808 ) RIP and some of the other moderators have been trying to tell the members for quite a while but still no-one logs into CVC during the net times .
I will try my best to see what I can do about the nets but as I stay over here in Scotland it might just prove to be quite a task but to make it work it will need the support of the members too.

I'm following you Jim, I'll see you on the CVC Sunday but I'm only on Ham now, the CB ( 11M" ) cuts into my Church time.

Cheers George , I hope to get home on time to catch the nets as will be away this Sunday for a while , stay logged in if you can and I will call when I get home and if 10 is still open we could try that contact again .

Sorry didn't make it home till almost 10pm my time and by that time the skip was non existant , hope to make it next week but keep a look out for me through the week around mid afternoon your time as I log into CVC most evenings when 10 is open .
A question for you , is 28.360 used as a calling freq over there now as there seems to be a lot of people calling and moving up or down freq .
