As most of you will already know using CH13 on LSB for the CEF nets has been causing some upset with other CB users so after discussing this matter with the Forummaster he would like to put forward for discussion the moving of the SSB net/chat to another channel also would it be ok to leave the AM net as ch13 , as the nets will be used by you the members please feel free to give some input/opinion about which channels should be used . By doing this it might just get the nets back to what they used to be .

heres a couple of my ideas
13 am mode
16 usb mode or 36 usb
i say usb cause theres usually alot of
lsb on 36-40 if conditions are good .i also
say 16 cause at one time that WAS a ssb channel
dont know if thats way it still is or not.well
these are my ideas i feel there different from
the normal lsb mode but i think it might favor us being usb mode isnt really used much on 11 meters for sonme unknown reason

I think 36 USB would be a good place for the sideband Sunday net and 13 is ok for the AM net.
Channel 16 has been used mostly for AM for many years and I believe it would be the same problem as 13 for sideband.
If we make the change I would even stand by on 36 USB anytime the skip is rolling. I believe we could make lots of contacts. Hope we can get it done. Just my two cents.

36 usb sounds good to me,,,if u change over i will monitor that freq and try to make the trip from newfoundland,,i was able to call in on the net a few times a few yrs ago,,,,73s

last time skip conditions were good i was able '
to make a few contacts every sunday on 11 meters
was probaly in late 90s.or early 2000,s

Ok that is a few members saying 36usb are there any more members with ideas or should we just go with 36usb ?
For now I will try monitoring 36usb .

36 USB? That sounds GREAT to me!! When do we start? I will be glad to have a radio on all the time on 36 usb. Let us know final decison. Thanks.

36 USB sounds real good for me as well. 13 is the ups channel here and a yard channel for a company not to far from my location. |

Ok looks like you guys are all wantin 36usb so looks like it is the way to go but the final decision is with the Forummaster , I will be on 36usb most evenings from 1900utc as conditions are excellent to over the big pond .
George I will be on 28.360 at time of ham nets so hope to hear ya'

Ok folks just got approval from the Forummaster and it is official the SSB nets will now be on ch36usb and the 24/7/365 standby/everyday chat channel is now 36usb , the AM nets will still be held on ch13 .
Hope this will prove to be successful in getting the nets going again especially with the excellent conditions we are having right now , talk with you soon I hope .

have you tried ale, I use it direct keyboard to keyboard, look for you guys on 28.146..you can download it on multipsk, works great, and call your station of choice..
