So has anyone helped with JOTA this year? I was able (after work) to give a few stations a contact - mostly on 20m but a few on 15, 40 and 1 (OK he was local) on 10m. Simon Tech237 N7AUS . I thought he said, "there was no rust for the wicked, and I own an MGB"

YES I know a lot of you are wondering What is JOTA? Answer: Jamboree-On-The-Air ie: (JOTA) The JOTA is an annual event in which Scouts and Guides all over the world speak to each other by means of amateur radio contacts. Scouting experiences are exchanged and ideas are shared, via the radio waves. The 52nd Annual Jamboree On The Air was this past weekend on Saturday October 17th and Sunday October 18th 2009. Conditions were Very Bad. Lon~Tech808 N9CEF CEF#808~CVC#002 Radio Enthusiast!

The 53rd Jamboree On The Air (JOTA)will take place on 16 and 17 October 2010. JOTA is held the third weekend in October of each year. JOTA takes place starting Saturday at 0000 hours local time (12:00 AM) to Sunday, 23.59 hours local time (12:00 PM), though some activity continues over from Friday to Monday to take advantage of long distance (DX) time differences. Life is a mirror and will reflect back to the thinker what he thinks into it.

Wont be on air this year - process of moving out and will not have any antennas up. For those who haven't heard Jo and I separated back in July. For a while I considered heading back to VK Land, but have decided to stay Stateside. I am moving in with a work collegue, BUT their home has an HOA - so mobile operations only for a bit, and Echolink of course.
