My Mom told me her 1st child born 1933, the doctor charged $50.00, Dad didn't have it so he traded a couple of chickens a rooter peck and an arm full of veggies. 2nd child born 1936 was $100.00 Dad was driving a 1928 Model A Hardtop Pickup that he'd bought in 1935 for $90.00 In 1958 I could go to the movie theater in down town Lake Wales FL for cheap; Ticket-child= 10 cents small soda= 5 cents sm popcorn= 5 cents candy bar= 5 cents Back then for 25 cents you got two cartoons a mini movie plus a drawing and live entertainment at intermission then the feature. Yeah, things have changed! Wally/Pressman/KC4ZWM
