Just wondering how many members have fish bowls or aquriums? Rosie and i started out in the early 70's with a ten gallon tank with tropical fish it growed to 3 ten gallon tanks then a 30 gallon tank! It was a nice hobbie then we had to move again. We started again around the mid 80s with a 30 gallon tank and progresed to 55 gallon tank and sold baby fish to local pet stores. Then we moved again! CEF# 164 and Tech808 - Shirley and LON Had been involved in tropical fish and started us up again with a 55 gallon tank again. Just this fall when we went to visit them. Its a nice hobbie. Rosie and I shure love it! We have Neon tetras , Tiger Barbs, One Betta, Pocatumaus cat, 2 Cory cats. So far! We been planting live plants which i think it looks better! So any of you enjoy this hobbie? Hal ~ Moderator136 ~ KCØSVC CEF#136/CEF HAM#23 ~ CVC#004 Moderator136@copperelectronics.com

probably will add 1 to the new room in the house in the near future, not 55 gallon size, but hopefully in the 20 gallon or bigger range. and as the voice chat members have heard in the past, the 1 cockatiel we currently have will probably move there too, with a friend or 2...or 3. do have a crawfish in a 2 gallon tank....son brought him home from school as a baby they hatched maybe 2 or even 3 years ago. i've seen smaller crawfish for sale to eat in the supermarket......good thing i don't eat 'em. |

Shure like watching them after i get of work. On our 10 gallon started with 2 female guppies and one male (fancy type) 3 months later we have 9 left after giving away almost 25 away . Its fun! Hi all: We at this time have a 36 gal bow front in the living room and a 100 gal on standby for the Florida room, can't set it up yet the floor still has tile waiting to go down. The 36 gal has Neons, Barbs and an Albino Cat. We had Angels but all of them died(old age). I'm not in a hurry to restock except for adding 6 or 8 more Neons and a couple more Cats. 73 Wally/Pressman/kc4zwm |

I'm going to revive this oldie... Livingroom: 125 Gallon, 46 gallon bowfront, 20 gallon high. My bedroom - 38 gallon Kid's bedroom - 20 gallon high. I've probably got 200-300 freshwater fish plus several crayfish and aquatic crabs. All in all totals least an hour's worth of tank maintenance weekly, but it's a labor of love! Some of these fish I have had 10+ years (Clown Loaches live up to 35 years!) |
