Go to the junk yard and pick up an old car radiator. Fill it will Morton Salt and bury it about 3" under ground ,add a heavy piece of wire from the radiator to the base of the antenna supporting structure. The salt will corrode the copper and create a super ground. It will last about 3 years. |

i dont mean this as a trouble maker but,,,,,,what ecological impact would this do? i live in a area that is sandy and this would be a great ground im sure on the same note though we have whats called sandpoint wells for our water and mine is 25 foot down would this corrosion impact my drinking water???? |

On a large scale of the ecological factor , it would have no impact , The salt corrodes the inside to the outside , you only bury it 3 feet , by the time it reaches 25 feet deep the earth does a natural cleaning of it. You are looking at something that is small compaired to a dump site. Copper and Salt are natural , NOT like processed oil. |

Thank you sir im on the way to get a radiator ,,,now correct me if im wrong i need to COMPLETELY fill the radiator???? seems kind hard we have some old radiators around work from our Semi trucks i do mean BIG and thats going to be ALOT of salt maybe i will get 5 years from a big radiator?????? LOL anyhow do i need to fill it completely?????? |

I have always filled them up , cost about 4 bucks , I used the morton salt in the supermarket because it is fine grain. The bigger the better. |

WOW never thought of that. Will drag home a radiator from the shop tomorrow. I was just wondering how I was gonna ground that tube type space heater I just got.  THANKS!!! |
