i just got a cobra 2000 basa station can some one let me no if this is a good base or not thank you. |

Well for starters the Cobra 2000 is a VERY sought after piece of equipment. Yes it is a very good base and is able to be modified as well. What did you give for it?

thats not bad i guess. they sold for about 500 or more when they came out. What kind of mods have been done to it? |

thanks for the all the good feedback well now can some let me no what kind of anten wood be a good one for this base i live in east nc. flatlands but a lot of woods you no big open arers i just dont no what kind to get so if some can help me i wood be thankfull..... thanks doug |

Cobra 2000gtl....beautiful radio and a good talker. The exports are fine but the 2000 is better looking and considerably better constructed. Not quite as much power out but loads of audio. I've got four of them including one that is brand new in the box. 73's |

There were two of them on e-BAY within the last week or so, not to sure what they were bringing or when it ended, but worth the time to look! Keep in mind there are shipping charges involved.I have gotten several good deals on a few different things from e-Bay. I always e-mail and ask about things long before I bid. I just spent $225 for one in mint condition. The guy says he is the only owner, and it is NOT modified. Stock as the day it came off the line at Cobra. Has the speaker as well. I think it's going to be a good deal for me. |

hello everyone. the cobra 2000gtl has some freq counter problems as i understand it. it can lock up reading 92000. IC 512 is out of production( i'm told ) (tech bulletin # 1232) this mod should be done on all radios |
