I have the faze 2 blue lite face. Great little radio. I have to say I like it better than my s9, It has the 1969 finels. I have not put meter in line yet. Does it have the topgun or not? So far I just run rf and mic gain wide open every one tells me it is loud and clear best ssb rig ever. |

It does not have the top gun. I run my mic gain wide open and my rf power all the way down. It gives me a 1 watt dead-key and swings to 30 watts and it is easier on the radio.

It is a great radio as long as you realize it has cheaper knobs/feel to it. I have mine set with a 1 watt dk on low and at 2-3watt dk will swing to 45-50 no problem. Adjusted mike gain (in mike and radio) and have external gain around 3 o'clock. Radio is awsome barefoot with a good antena. Also has good ears. Reports are as loud and clean. Also hooked to my KL500 @ lowest setting, and it has great reports also with real good swing and clean modulation. I have radio RF all the way down and mic gain at 12 when KL500 is on. I know I could smoke the KL but use it at the minimum. I wonder how much better can the Deltaforce or S900 be? If it has better ears than this I may need to get one. Even gives my RCI 2970dx something to think about.
The x3 ERF2030's, scan, stock power mic, programable ch's(am/usb/lsb , unlocked clarifier, etc and all this in a small radio!! As long as you dont get turned off by the cheesy controls and tiny mic you cant go wrong with this radio. I'm very happy with my set of 257's.
