Can anyone tell me what transistor I can use as replacement for 2999? That one is impossible to buy in my country. Which one should do the trick? Mike |

NTE107 ??? I am not entirely sure this would apply. The 107 spec sheet indicates useage in UHF oscillators. What sort of radio or device is your 2999 in, and are there other markings on the package? Romstar |

the only sub i know of is the NTE107. the problem with NTE parts is that they are a parts "re-labeler", and an NTE107 could be any number of close subs for a 2999 relabeled as a NTE107. the few NTE107's that i have used have made an improvement in the receive audio. of course, 2SC2999 is better. matt anyone wanting a "clean signal", just look to the left and build one of these!!!

i have never heard of anyone doing this mod to the lincoln/hr2510 chassis. im not sure, but looking at the schem. it seems like Q101 would be the one to replace. its a 2SC1674. again, thats just a guess, and im not sure how the mod will "take" to this radio. i guess its worth a try. ive never owned one, but the people who have tell me that its one of the best receivers around. good luck to ya, matt anyone wanting a "clean signal", just look to the left and build one of these!!!
