I have read numerous modulation posts but do export 10Meter radios use DSB-SC? kinda spray
AM out at full power constant like a FM carrier?

I get these strange looking AM carriers in my area, Dead silence is the same strength as the transmission , but I see a SC? modulation.

Intresting but 10 meter radios none i've ever seen have even used DSB anything.... and EXPORT radios do not exsist ..... except on paper.

The use of DSB-SC on CB has never intrested the CB user. REGENCY RANGE GAIN radios of the early 60's clamed to do this but if you read close they said DSB-FC ..... YEP good old AM.

DSB-SC has been arouund for many years I dont know any radio that uses this mode however many old HAM transmitters like the HT-37 you had to balance out the carrer and to get am they used DSB SC by unbalancing and having a small amout of carrer output.

Back when ARC-5 transmitters were common some were converted to PUSH-PUSH amps and you could get a form of DSB-SC out of them and many wound up on 6 meters .....wb2zks ran one back in the early 70's.

NOW SCREEN MODULATION like HEATH and DRAKE tr-4 used would drive your "S" meter nuts with output going from a watt to several hundered. but it was not true DSB-SC.
