Sitting around and got to digging up some old tunes I had plum forgot even existed. Such as Merle Haggard & Leona Williams "The Bull and the Beaver", and Porter Wagoner and Dolly Parton's "10-4 Over and Out", and who could ever forget C.W. Mcalls "CB Savage". Tommy~852~CEF 750

I think my fav is "Teddy Bear" about the little handicap boy who lost his day and all those truckers took him for a ride in their Big Rigs. It really hits the heart hard everytime I hear it. My 2nd fav is Asphalt Cowboy. STARFACE CEF#476 KI4NBE HAM#181 CVC#Ø14

It's not a classic, actually only a couple of years old... The Legendary Shack Shakers, The CB Song. It was used in a Geico commercial. "In God we trust. Everyone else, keep your hands where I can see them".

Too many to list from Red Sovine, etc. All good ones. Teddy Bear was probably the best one. Also, CB Savage was by Rod Hart, not C.W. McCall. Sean CEF867 Two tin cans and a string, it's still a contact...BTW, I need my can back when we're done!

One of my favorite cb radio songs "Bump It Down" is written by the Prime Minister from channel 6. He is better known in the rap scene as "Sir Mix a Lot". Other cb related tunes from the Prime Minister "No Excuses On Da Bowl" "Buttermilk Biscuits" KEEP IT REAL! Kenny cef491(27.115lsb) 2sf491(27.555usb) Indiana

I can remember a song that Tennessee Ernie Ford wrote and sang . And i thought it was about a truck driver and a cb????? It was in the late 50s or early 60s he had his own show at the time. See what happens when you have Halzelmers!!!!! I know about Sixteen tons. That was a great song. But im shur he wrote a song about a truck and cb ????? I will search this and find out. NOV-10-07 Did a search did not find any songs about cb and his songs. Hal ~ Moderator136 ~ KCØSVC CEF#136/CEF HAM#23 ~ CVC#004 Moderator136@copperelectronics.com

I used to listen to a song called "White Knight". I can't remember who sang it. Was about a trucker talking to a "smokey" on the CB. |

"The White Knight" was sung by Cledus Maggard. "...that Japanese toy, the trucker's joy, that everybody calls CB....". |
