Hey,I have a pc68 xl.If you DON'T use the Dynamic
Squelch Control you can go inside and disable it.
It makes a difference to your radio and makes you louder,atleast it did for me.You still have your regular squelch control just be careful not to disable it too lol.The DSC is like a small board
at the front of the radio.You can trace the wires coming from the DSC switch to this board.If I remember correctly you'll see a yellow wire.Cut this wire and it will be disabled.Your radio will continue to be very quiet and you can still use your regular squelch.
