Local? Out a couple hundred miles?
DX ? Meteor scatter? Auroral?
What mode(s)?
FM? AM/SSB/CW? RTTY? SSTV? Digital?

If all you are interested in is "low cost"...just throw together a dipole from scrap materials. |
