The coax out of the Xmtr is RG58/U marked Columbia 1166, should I replace this with a quality piece of RG8/U ? |

50 ohm coax is 50 ohm coax.
if its old, i would replace it.
cant see any reason why not to use the thick stuff.

Wildrat,
RG8X "MINI 8" is the Small Size 50 ohm coax.
RG8 and RG213 is the Standard Large size 50 ohm coax.

OK, I forgot, and I guess I should have looked at the coax when I thought about it and did not. I guess I will have to make a QRL for that too, since I can't remember.
