Can I use the 10.695 Mhz Channel Guard on Copper's site in a Uniden Grant LT since the 7.8 Mhz version is no longer available? |

Never mind. I just saw the old post that says you can only do it if you change the crystals yourself. |

If you shop around you might find a 7.8MHz Channel Guard in stock somewhere. Maybe the place that sold you the NIB LT has one? It's definitely worth the effort. It makes a really good radio even better. |

Yeah, there's another company on the web that sells them. Same specs and everything, but they market them under a different name. I wonder if they are as good. |

Im4jc, If it does not say CHANNEL GUARD it is not made by Lou Franklin and is just a spinoff copy from someone. Lon Tech808 CEF808 N9OSN |

They call it a Channel Guard bleedover filter, but you know what? I'm probably showing my ignorance here. I've seen it at CBC International , *********, and ********. This is kind of embarrassing, but now that I see the Golden Screwdriver book for sale there, I'll just betcha that I'm talking about Lou's product. Sorry guys for the misinformation. |
