I also run the ALLIANCE HD-73-1 ROTORS and have one as a back up rotor.
Norm is a Great guy and has all of the Parts for the ALLIANCE Rotors as he he bought the complete inventory of parts from the Genie Company who made them. He carries the Parts, Schematics and Manuals for them.

If you can weld and are handy at making your own stuff get an old bearing off of a disk or planter and make a bearing of your own.. Its easy to do. |

3885: You sound like a rancher in Montana I was talking to the other night! Made his own thrust bearings (several). Said it was easy. I need to get me a welder... I have NO thrust bearings on my mast. But the boom and antenna are only 20 pounds. |

Thrust Bearings are worth there weight in gold.
I have mine at the bottom of my 9' top section of tower and all of the mast pipes bolted together with stainless bolts and penetrox and this allows me to have my Rotor at Roof Level with 1/4 inch gap between the bottom of the mast pipe and the top of the Rotor Base.
"No Weight on Rotor" and it makes it very easy to turn as well as remove and fix or slide my spare in if needed by just removing the 4 mast bracket bolts from the rotor and changing wires.
Also with having the rotor at roof level I save on rotor wire and do not have to have someone climb all the way to the top if I incure any problems.
I have just never figured out why people put the rotor at the top of the tower to make things hard on themselves.

LOL No im not in Montana but I know a few old timers here that made their own by using parts from old farm implements. Pretty easy to do as well as cheaper than paying big $$$$ for a factory made bearing..
Up in my tower i have 2 bearings one near the rotor and one near the top of the tower..
ones is made from an old plow disk and the other is an old rohn bearing i got off a local that was getting out of CB a few years ago and sold his tower and beams. I got his bearing and a few other thigns he had for sale.. |

Jim,
I have 10' of 2" mast pipe above the tower reinforced with 1-3/4 Black Gas Pipe and 50' of 2" mast pipe running down inside of tower to 1/4 inch from top of Alliance HD-73 rotor. Then 20' below the SE Beams I have the 305 on a standoff, and about 5' above the 305 I have my 2 Meter Anttron Antenna on a standoff.
I have a 40' Push-up pole just waiting for Tech833's new antenna when it arrives. 
PS, poor Redman CEF156 and Homeboy CEF159 had a heck of a time carring the top section of tower and mast pipe up there and drilling thru the top section of mast pipe. hehehe

Above is a picture of my SE White Lightning 4 Beams.
Notice Thrust Bearing at Bottom of Top 9' Section of tower and below is my Anttron 305 on right of tower and Anttron 2 Meter on Left of tower.
House roof is about 20' below bottom of picture with rotor mounted a roof level.
Due to health/legs I can no longer climb towers so Redman CEF156 and Homeboy CEF159, and Corncob CEF166 and Beerman CEF322 helped me to get everything up.

Ok i can help. If you need a bearing , You have to have the Inside dia. and the outside dia. and what type. Check out (Precision industries) Im a tool and die maker and they never let me down.Hope this help you all.
