I have a brand new Uniden Grant XL that was just discontinued. I also have a brand new Uniden Grant XL that was the predecessor to the current one above. If you had both, which one would you use and which one would you sell? Is one better than the other one? And of course, all of your reasons why. Thanks. Keith in Atlanta |

The older one is the better of the two, the new one with the lighted face plate is a lot different in the electronics, many owners of the older Grant XL say they are a much better radio, myself included. Yankee |

I had the older version, but I sold it because I'm not really into ssb. I got the AM version (78) because it was stronger on the xmit. But the Grant XL is definetely the better of the ssb models. Wolverine. |
