I have a question that's off the typical ones here on this forum but have a problem with a scanner pro 2022. receives fine on the lower bands but around the 800 MHZ range, I can't even receive in the local police and there's always somebody on those bands. Does anyone know where or who I can get in contact with that works on these scanners or might have some better infor for me? |

Ive owned a lot of scanners & have always tried to improve reception on 900 meg. I've even went with outdoor antennas & still cant get much. Had a scanner that 800meg was opened up on & the cell phone calls came in like you wouldnt believe, but as far as police on that band, have rarely heard anything. Also, the cordless phone calls i've heard on 800 have all been very close range & very few & even garbled at times on all my scanners. If you come up with a solution for reception boxcar, please let me know. |

Well, I tried using my cb base antenna at first which is an old hygain penetrator and I didn't get much and thought my scanner was acting goofy but I do have a goofy looking scanner antenna that I have not put back up outside yet so I just decided to sit on my front porch and hook up the scanner outside and just run a 9 foot length of coax to the antenna which was just sitting on the porch also and I started picking up all kinds of stuff now. I have not tried the police bands that I was getting on my other scanner(before I sold it) but we're hoping I'll get more frequencies in. I might have to go pick up a current police call from radio shack. Dx431, I am not sure if lincoln has went digital yet but I do know it's hard catching the trunked radio's unless you have a trunking scanner.
