a couple months ago i wanted an inexpensive ssb for my truck. i decided on a nightrider 150, went to order one and found out they were no longer available, so i got a ss3900. this past sunday afternoon's "good skip" caught me unprepared with one of my 2950's dying i had no ssb on my beam. so today i decided to get a TR296, and found out they are not available. the TR296GK is available, but gawd they are ugly,yuck!...aj |

AJ,Yer southern neighbor would recommend the DX959 also. All you have to do to use it is put a piece of black electrical tape about 2 inches long right below the meter.then you go to Walmart and get one of them new silver colored sharpie markers they use to mark vidia tapes and write president Clinton,Bush,Carter whomever you prefer.then your all set!hehehe.... |
