Could someone please provide the tune and peak for this rig? Also, does the Expander 100 kit work well for extra channels on this radio? Thank you! XLAXX |

Xlaxx I'll have the answer tomorrow on the mail question is that a upd2824 PLL? It could be one of two. Phillipines means good one though! P.S. no need to clip the diode on that one opening vr4 is enough. |

Thank you for the replies. Was trying to set up this radio and was told that cutting the limiter would make it a little better but didn't want to do it. Seems that replacing the 2SC1969 makes a difference on this radio. Was told 16-18W max. Anyway, thank you for the tips! XLAXX |

I had one a few years ago and had my CB shop guy do the big final and driver mod and it talked up a storm afterwords.. Non need to cut the limiter it talks great with it in place as it is!! Although i did remove it to see what it would do with the limiter gone.. no difference on the meter so i soldered it back in place! |

Xlaxx, Sorry, can't help you with that one. I have found it is much more reasonable in Price and more power if you add a KL40 / KL60 or KL300 than replacing the Driver and Upgrading the Final. Depending on the amount of power you are looking for. On the PC 76/78 I alway's Suggest and use a KL-300 on them. Lon Tech808 |
