Where can I get a manual radio switch? At least two maybe three radios and one antenna? I know Copper has an auto. unit, but I would like a manual one. |

I have one here that came from Radio Shack. Most ham suppliers stock manual switches and many antenna tuners have one built on. MFJ sell one for around $25 rated at 1KW..(last time I looked. |

Is the antenna switch the same? Can I use it in reverse. Instead of multiple antenna have multiple radios. |

Yes, you can use it in reverse. I use one this way. Works fine. |

i have a sears antenna switch that i picked up at a yard sale several years ago,i still use it i can run three radios off of one antenna with very little insertation loss

Parts man,
I have used the MFJ Model 1700B ANTENNA SWITCH for around 6 or 8 year's now and have been very pleased with it.
It allow's me to Have "6" Radio's and "6" Antenna's hooked up at a time.
Or in My Case:
#1 ~ TEST/BENCH COAX LEAD
#2 ~ CANTANA DUMMY LOAD
#3 ~ VERT on BEAM
#4 ~ HORZ on BEAM
#5 ~ OMNI ANTENNA COAX
#6 ~ R-5 HAM ANTENNA COAX.
And then whatever 5 Radio's I choose to have hooked up as I have One Coax for Bench Work.
Make's it very nice to Not have to keep Changing Coax.
And keep's thing's VERY NEAT!
I just have to keep remembering to flip the switch. hehehe

YES a DOUBLE 6
This deluxe high power Antenna/Transceiver Switch has two ceramic rotary switches that let you select 1 to 6 antennas and 1 to 6 transceivers in any combination.
You can also plug in an antenna tuner, wattmeter, linear, etc so it is always connected to the antenna and transceiver selected.
Handles 2kW PEP for 50-75 Ohm loads. Unused terminals are automatically grounded. Has SO-239 connectors. Covers 1.8 - 30MHz. 10x3x1 1/2 inches.

Transmitter-Antenna Switch
MFJ-1700B Instruction Manual
Introduction
Thank you for purchasing the MFJ TRANSMITTER-ANTENNA SWITCH. The MFJ-1700B is a heavy duty switch which allows you to connect any one of 6 transceivers in any combination. The MFJ-TRANSMITTER-ANTENNA SWITCH handles up to 2 KW PEP for 50-75 ohm loads. As shown in the diagram, an antenna tuner, SWR/Wattmeter, linear, e.t.c., can plug in between the transceiver(s) and antennas so that they are always in the circuit. All unused inputs and outputs are shorted to ground.
To use, simply connect the transmitter(s) you want to use to lettered coax connector(s) on the bottom of the unit. Connect the antenna(s) you want to use to the numbered coax connector(s) on the top of the unit. Connect an antenna tuner, SWR/Wattmeter, e.t.c., to the ANT COM and XMIT COM connectors on the top and bottom of the unit. Select with the switches, on the front panel of the front panel of the MFJ-1700B, the desired transmitter and antennas.
If using only one antenna in combination with more than one transmitter, or one transmitter in combination with more than one antenna, the MFJ-1700B can be used to tie them together by using one side of the coax connectors in the following sequence:
Transmitter COM ties to A-F
Antenna COM ties to 1-6
Also following these connections, the MFJ-1700B can be used as two independent switches.
If using the MFJ-1700B with more than one transmitter and more than one antenna without antenna tuner, SWR/Wattmeter, e.t.c., simply connect the Antenna COM to the Transmitter COM with a coax cable, preferably as short as possible.

Might look into one of these MFJ double 6 switches. Heavens knows with as many radios as I have and as much as I switch back and forth between them I could use one. But with limited antenna space, all I have in the air is an Imax 2000 and 2 two meter verticals, I've often thought of puting up an 11 meter flat wire or one of these 10 meter dipoles that uses 2 Ham Sticks. With my limited space the 10 meter dipole sounds like a better idea, and I've been told by the dealer that the 10 meter dipole works as good on 11 meters as the tips of the Ham Sticks are tuneable. I might try that one myself, I have had good luck with MFJ, right now, I have a Diawa, sucker is built like a tank, and I have a Dosy, I use the Dosy to select antenna or dummy load, and I use the Diawa to select the radio works fine but all in one would be better. Then I have the quad rig I have hooked straight to the antenna so I can use it at the same time as on of my other rigs. |

Just got off the phone with one of the ham radio stores and the MFJ 1700B is no longer for sale and is being replaced with MFJ 1700C and not yet available, when it is the tag on it is going to be $99.95. Lon is this something Copper might what to carry? Regards, Yankee |

Yes, the Forummaster and I talked last night and he is checking into Copper Carrying this product for the Copper Member's. 
Even at the NEW Price it is well worth the Money.

Spoke with a fellow ham on the phone this evening and he just got the 2004 MFJ catalog the other day and the 1700B switch is still listed.
